Bio:

Born in Canada to parents of Chinese and Hungarian heritage, Gabor investigates identity, pop-culture and cross-cultural issues through visual art. She was the recipient of the inaugural Roloff Beny Scholarship, which enabled her to travel to China on a photography project to pursue her explorations of biracial cultural identity. Recent exhibitions include Double Happiness (2008), a solo exhibition at The New Gallery in Calgary, A.I.R. Hungarian Multicultural Center International-Artist-in-Residency Exhibition (2008) at the Mucius Gallery, Budapest, Hungary, and HMC (2009), a group exhibition at the Ferencvarosi Gallery, Budapest, Hungary. Gabor holds a Diploma in Fashion Design and a B.F.A in Visual Arts, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Visual Arts.
